VISA applied

After 3 tries at the VISA website of India where ever it is it located it finally worked. Still it sucks so bad, every year I have been too this site it will fail somehow. I mean ever since my first trip that was in 2007 it failed/crashed. So of course it crashed yesterday as well .... but on the 3'd time it worked ... come on!?!?!?

Well now I hope the 'my' secretary already have sent the application to the Indian embassy of Stockholm.

It should only take about 5 working days to get it approved.

Flights are now booked

The flights to and from Bangalore,India have now been booked and the flight companies  are Emirates and Lufthansa. So I will travel to India with the Emirates via Dubai and fly home with Lufthansa via Frankfurt. The reason why I got these different companies are that the layovers were so bad an with these flights I do not need to stress at the layover and that something I really hate. I want to be able to relax and be calm during my flight and I am not in a hurry to get back home anyways ;-)

Emirates or Lufthansa

I am looking for flights that have good flight times, such as time of departures and arrivals,  flight time of course. I have always flew with Lufthansa via Frankfurt but now I think I will go with Emirates instead if possible. 

Emirates will have a stopover at Dubai which is an airport that I haven't been to. 

I have found a flight which seems ok the only thing is that it has a stopover in Dubai which is about 4h and 50 min. Well I can manage that.

The flight to India with Emirates is at Saturday instead of Sunday with Lufthansa still it is the same amount of hotel nights as I will arrive on Sunday and be at hotel at lunchtime instead of arriving at 4-5 in middle of the sunday night / Monday morning and then be at work at 10-11 on Monday.

It is also cheaper to fly with Emirates.

Travel is now approved

Yepp, it is now approved for me to go to India working.

I miss India as you can read in my last blog.

I will be there for two weeks and I hope it will enough as there is lots to do?!?

- My love/hate of Bangalore...
Well, I mean, you should know the reason as well, so last time was really awesome as my Indian friends are awesome and made me feel at home but let me tell you ... I read some alarming news about rape and "ship-breaking yard " at some beach and other things ... but looking at Sweden in the 60-70'ths it SUCKED BIG TIME, pollution everywhere. So not too different, but also India is a divide country as it is soooooo BIG. Government cannot rule each part of India I guess, it is like the US which can have the own laws in the different states.  So I set aside my beliefs ... actually NO I just realized India is another part of the world that has do it own part and think of the environment ... I love/hate India and saying that I have only seen some parts city of Bangalore so you figure it out yourself ... I need too see more of course ;-)
Yes I have only been to Bangalore City ... (Shristi I have not  seen the 'green city' yet)

I emailed my manager yesterday to find out if he had sent request for me to travel to India and yes it has been sent but not yet approved :-(

Not approved yet

My travel has not yet got approved by my managers manager and of course it is only a day gone still so what to expect.

As I know there is a new hotel in nearby the Phoenix mall I actually hope to get a room there while staying in Bangalore as staying at ZURI is like a prison still ZURI a really nice/great hotel but staying at The Waverly i think will have more freedom. I can go downstairs visting the mall and/or go for the Phoenix mall just 50 meters from hotel.

Going to Bangalore again !?!?

Hi guys,
I am planning on going to India, Bangalore again this November if everything is approved by my managers.
The need for the trip is that we have new functionality and the knowledge needs to be transferred to colleagues in India and I also do want to keep a close contact with my colleagues so it do not go too long time before I see them in person. The last time I was in Bangalore it had already gone two years between my visits so I do not want that too happen again.

So, hopefully I get an approval of travelling to Bangalore, India this November.
